Yogic Breath + Meditation

Although breathing is an automatic function, when we truly begin to pay attention to it and attempt to direct the flow, it becomes a bridge to the deeper levels of yoga and meditation. Once we begin to manipulate the breath through yogic breathing practices, stilling the revolutions of the mind becomes more accessible. This all-levels practice is a journey inward through the breath and an opportunity to experience a sense of calm.

Ashtanga Yoga Half Primary

Guided Half Primary draws upon all you’ve learned in the Intro to Ashtanga classes. Learn how to link postures into a flowing movement sequence and experience new potentials of strength and flexibility. This class will guide you to the halfway point in the Ashtanga Primary Sequence, emphasizing classic flow, technique, and tradition. A medium level of yoga experience is recommended.

Strengthening Yoga

Do you want to get stronger and increase your range of motion? Strengthening Yoga focuses on upper body strength and flexibility. Get stronger with Clyde in this fun, energetic class. Blocks and a cushion are recommended for those who have an issue with being on their knees.

Sunday, 31st October

Ashtanga Yoga Full Primary

Get ready for the full Ashtanga experience! Keeping a steady and dynamic pace, traditional Ashtanga postures are linked in a sequence intended to open up new connections between your mind, body, and breath. Rigorous and challenging, the Ashtanga primary series disperses aspects of stamina, strength and flexibility throughout the sequence of postures. Be prepared to sweat and have fun! Students who are practicing half-primary are also welcome to join and simply take rest after navasana.

Yin Yoga

Slow down and go deeper within during this relaxing Yin yoga class with Jenny. Learn to get comfortable with stillness as Jenny safely guides you through sustained and supported postures using deeper more relaxed breaths. This session will prepare you to go deeper into certain postures that target deep connective tissue, ligaments, and joints. Beyond the physical benefits that come from relaxing and stretching the body, this session will leave you with a deeper sense of healing within.

Present Power: Energizing and Flowing I

Join Beryl for smart and therapeutic sequences that strike a balance between hard and soft, effort and ease. This is a progressive series based on Beryl's books Power Yoga and Beyond Power Yoga. The classes are accessible for all ages and abilities, though some knowledge of vinyasa is helpful. This flow-style class focuses on developing concentration and building agni (fire). Through awareness of breath, bandhas (energy locks), gaze, and an exploration of vinyasa (to "set down with awareness"), you’ll find more mental clarity, release emotions, and turn up your inner heat.

Ashtanga Fundamentals

Join Monica in an exploration of the fundamentals of Ashtanga. Learn how to link breath and concentration to movement and postures. Each class will have a slightly different focus within Ashtanga’s intelligent sequencing. Take a closer look at technique, movement mechanics, and tools that are the essence of this method. This class will help you lay the foundation to move into a more advanced and intentional practice. This class is for all levels as a comprehensive introduction to Ashtanga Yoga or a re-discovery of the basics.
